Still better than a "Do Nothing like Brodsky", vote for someone new that will prosecute for a change!

I have worked many cases with Brodsky over the years and found him to be a top notch SAO. The only case I remember him dropping was one that both victims refused to assist. It's really impossible to win a case when the victim wont take the stand. I have even seen him step up to the plate and assist when another SAO didn't feel they had enough to work with. The guy is hard working, very smart, and very honorable. I useally avoid politics like the plague because most politicians are only out for themselves. But in this case I will go to bat for the guy because this position is very important to us and I have no dought, none what so ever, that Brodsky will do a great job for us and the county.

I know both Lombardo and Brodsky personally and there is no question Brodsky is the choice! I agree with the previous poster. On the other hand, Lombardo is just plain sleezy! He was the defense attorney on a trial two weeks ago where he tried to hide evidence. It was home invasion robbery where three masked people broke into a house, stole money, and Lomardo's guy tried to rape a female they had tied up. She IDd him by his distinctive shoes. He was arrested right afterward still wearing the shoes. The arresting ofc didn't collect the shoes but left them in the jail property. A year later (right before trial) Lombardo goes to the jail and takes the shoes out of property. When the lawyers asked him about it in court he said he wasn't going to produce the evidence and "the cops should have done their job and gotten them before I did". He eventually realized he was busted and brought the shoes to court. And THIS is who we want as the next State Attorney!?!?!?! I don't think so! (Oh and btw, the bad guy is doing life! )

What is wrong with you people that say Peter is taking advantage of that lady. It's the truth. No victim no crime???? Apparantly you didn't go on that web-site Peter has up and read the reports that the Detectives did on the incident. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Had the SAO done their job and had Brodsky yes Brodsky not signed the decline like he did so many that man would still be alive today possibly. Your an IDIOT to think that, that crime would've never happened. It's people like you that ruin this society I'm afraid to say. Ed. Brodsky is a liar and two faced. He will say one thing to your face and then do another. A INNOCENT MAN LOST HIS LIFE BECAUSE OF HIM AND THE SAO, and all he has to do is turn the tide on Peter with endorsement money.... Come on now. Your the one's there that's going to have to put up with the outcome so pick who you want. But what if it was your Husband, Wife, or Father that it happned too. Do you think that man knew when he woke up he was going to die??? No, he knew it was Valentines day and he was going to take his wife to lunch and he did, unfortuantly there was a Monster that Brodsky and the SAO cut loose waiting for him. The Sheriff's Office covered their butts on this one and the State pooped it right out.

The fact that the circuit's top law officers endorse Brodsky -- including Manatee County Sheriff Brad Steube and Bradenton Police Chief Michael Radzilowski -- is a testament to his abilities. The fact that his opposition is running a smear campaign against him is also a testament -- but one of unscrupulous desperation.

For the previous poster "guys". There you are again. I decided to look around to see if you were spewing your idiocy anywhere else on these boards and look...there you are again under a different name. I will say the same to you that I said before:

" I find it interesting that you're posting the same junk under two different names in difference strings. hmmm...not really law enforcement are you? If you are, then I'll say what I said in the other string. Since when did crime become someone else's fault other than the criminal? You sound more like a defense attorney than a law enforcement officer. But if I'm wrong and you really are a leo then quit!"

except this time I'll add that you should go back to Lombardo and tell him we've figured you out!

12th Judicial Circuit state attorney candidate Peter Lombardo’s campaign borrowed $51,000 from his wife’s assisted living center in Bradenton.

Florida law caps business contributions to a candidate at $500, even if the candidate owns the business.

Officials from the Florida Division of Elections did not return phone calls and could not be reached for comment.

But a political science professor says the $51,000 business loan breaks the rules.

“You can’t do it,” says T. Wayne Bailey, a political science professor at Stetson University who reviewed Lombardo’s campaign records. “Many of these kinds of issues are shades of gray, but this one doesn’t really qualify.
