It’s recently been brought to my attention that several slanderous statements have been made against Wade Osborn on the site. The statements made against Mr. Osborn have been misleading. The often referenced gun raffle and Mr. Osborn’s level of involvement has been misconstrued. Mr. Osborn donated the weapon for raffle he did not raffle it himself. It was clearly stated that he was the one that donated the firearm. That raffle and the other raffles that Mr. Osborn was involved in were held by a qualified organization as described in Florida State Statutes. Mr. Osborn did not receive any monies as the direct result of any of the raffles that he participated in. If these accusations continue legal action may be brought against those making the statements to include obtaining a court order to gather the IP addresses of those making the accusations.
In addition I have seen a few details concerning Mr. Pope’s raffle. I would suggest that if has not yet obtained legal counsel he should do so.

Better go look at the Supervisor of Elections web site it surely paints a different picture.

Look at quarter 1 to see where campaign funds were used at the Gun Shop. Also the fifty dollar donations for tickets. Quarter 2 additional donations of Fifty dollars for tickets. Plus, yes the winner is listed whom I have known for years. You know this is not about what Osborne has done it is about what the Sheriff's Office has not. There are so many raffles that occur in this county on a weekly basis that are not in line with the FSS that are simply being ignored. Your threat of court ordered retrieval of IP's is rediculous. Well now it all makes sense and you are reaffirming what is already known! "Mr. Osborn did not receive any monies as the direct result of any of the raffles that he participated in." Of course he did not and that is why we can not see them on the financial reports in Q4 of 2010 because the select few people that sold and collected the cash raffle tickets gave the cash to WO after the fundraiser. Still at the bowlathon and since the cash did not go into record, no names or information was recorded. Then a Violation has occured! We know the names of the persons that have collected cash monies, they where not a qualified organization themselves, they where acting on behalf of thier friend WO and are not willing to take part in what they have found to be deception. WO knows who they are as he may now considered them former friends and any WO defense would state that they would now do him harm because they have disagreed with many of his life and political choices. These are facts. Why try and threaten people otherwise you will only serve to expose WO negative activities. Another fact is Generally, truth is an absolute defense in a suit for defamation or libel. Now I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, and I do doubt it, but If you are being paid to make a statement on behalf of WO, again that is understandable if you are just doing your job. Yet you should be advised that if you are, your client will leave out the truth and be deceptive with you too. Surely you know how hard it is to represent and defend an untruthfull client.
