I am a long time FOP supporter. Under the present circumstances I agree with immediately having new elections for the FOP.

The key to this is getting the present FOP leaders to admit it’s about the FOP, not about them…and getting Kerr to stop pushing the PBA vote.

Also, pls. Kerr….don’t come on here and claim you are not hoping for the PBA vote….I have spoken to you and you are easy to figure out.

Let’s start supporting new elections at the FOP.

The FOP has made bylaw changes to thwart any and all attempts to remove them from office. Just like Stalin, Castro, and Chavez. They entrenched and there is no replacing them short of an all out coup. Apparently that's what it's going to take in the form of a mass exodus of members and a new union stepping in.

Armando it is wel known you and the rest of youe buddies read this site. Hell, you have people post on it on a routine basis. It is time to man up and announce you will hold special elections and those elections will be monitored by the Elections Department. No absentee ballots unless a person is scheduled "V", out "D" or out of town on City business. No board members counting votes. The executive board is welcome to run for office and campaign, but they cannot walk around with absentee ballots in their hand telling people who to vote for.

The life of the FOP as we knew depends on you doing the right thing now. No one really wants the PBA but no really wants a FOP president that is cloase personal friends with the mayor and a president that has lost so much in the last few years.

Please just leave.

Its always the same,,,, they lose the ballot box 10 to 1
Then they somehow win the absentee box 20 to 1
So i ask you again,,,, how do you vote out FIDEL?????

How can the 1% Board and the Civil Sercive Board both have the County run the elections/????

The PBA is obviously not the answer!!!!! the increase to our heath insurance would be catastropic to all of us. But if we collectively quit the FOP the only thing we lose is our dental insurance which is a joke anyway......

Only by bleeding the FOB Board to death can we ultimately end this unthinkable nightmare we all are experiencing.

With mass resignation from FOP we destroy the blood cancerous FOP Board by radically reducing their by-law protected stipends and unsupervised personal nontransparent expendures of our dues

There is no other way to surgically remove the nightmare FOP Board cancer. Attending meetings? Changing Bylaws? Fraudulent driven absentee ballot elections? You have to be kidding me!!!! That is how the FOP Board has historically stayed in absolute power...

The only answer: BLEED THEM TO DEATH!!!!!!!

At the Wednesday FOP meeting, those attending must finally stand up to a FOP Board that is murdering our future!!!!!

I have spoken to several retirees who are extremely concerned about the PBA taking over. They are terrified about losing the benefit of reasonably priced health insurance. A lot of you have the attitude of screw the retirees. Let me remind you that one day God willing youll be retirees too. I don't believe going to the PBA is the answer. We will play second fiddle to MDPD I don't think we should play second fiddle to anybody. Instead wasting all this energy to oust the FOP we should oust the president and VP. Armando has demonstrated that he aspirations for state office and we are no longer his primary concern. Ortiz demonstrates by hs actions that he is too immature, impetuous, and too ego-centric to hold theposition of VP much less be employed as a sergeant of police. He does not understand that being a police officer entails more than beating people and alienating the citizens we are sworn to serve. It speaks volumes that the FOP refuses to conduct elections in a fair and equitable manner. If the only way you can retain an office is to conduct an election that has an air of fraud you have no business in that office. Let's not screw ourselves over and the retirees over by making a knee jerk reaction. Let's use the power we have when we unite and elect someone that will truly represent us. WE are the FOP not Aguilar and Ortiz.

Guys it will be thousands more every year. Not just for retirees but forALL of us! Know that , that's a sure thing. We go right to the city general insurance which Regaldo/Retardo and his henchmen would love. No doubt about it the FOP must stay,and thus our very reasonably priced great insurance stays as well just get rid of lord Armando and his crew of clowns. After that all will be fine. Our FOP has been with us for over 60 years, that's three generations of cops or more. Don't be foolish about this,or else we ALL pay the price$$$$$ !

You won't be able to vote them out because a by law change by the vice president is in reading to be put to a vote to keep only those who are already on the board to be able to run for president and vice president! Then the say prior experience in running the FOP!
