With FHP, you only need to wear the back panel because of all the other troopers and management trying to stick a knife in your back !!

Please cite your source regarding other departments?

Orlando PD has a mandatory vest policy since Chief Paul Rooney became chief.
Has nothing to do with grant rules here.
Yes, this may apply if FHP gets the grant for vests.
What you may be saying may have some truth, but does not apply to all agencies that have mandatory vest requirement.

Check you facts and don’t make stuff up!

The only point that was made was any department that buys vest thru a federal grant will have a mandantory wear policy. Thats part of the grant rules. Who gives a sh!t what Orlando PD's policy is or any other department is for that matter?

That's bull$hit. I stop all walks of life on 95 in Broward

Workmans comp is the biggest joke. Ask around and see how many of our co workers have been denied a claim. Its criminal.

Trooper Bill Dyer had a crash at work and was in a coma and workmans comp denied his claim two weeks into his hospital stay. Trooper Dyer passed from his injuries and workmans comp of course claimed prior history. Who doesn't have some type of prior history.

On a side note. I beleive we should wear our vest.

Wearing a vest should be left to each member. A vest is no guarantee that you will survive a shooting. The fact is when your number is up it is up.

Boy's and girls in tan,

We are about to see a Race War, a vest is not an option it is a must! We need to sharpen our marksmen ship skills, and be ready for accidental exposure to O.C.! Also know that the B/F who is in charge of the Tampa/St. Pete New Black Panthers Party is Signal 0 with an XDM.

If you want to wear a vest then wear the frigging vest but quit trying to make everyone else do what you want.

Go screw yourself!

I personally think it makes sense and is a good "heads up" approach to a potentially violent police action. If your intel is correct on the Signal 0 issue then thanks.
