Wrong... he lost because he was only out to help himself. Look what he did the minute he found out he lost... he bailed on all of us. Showed his true colors by changing dates in his resignation letter just like he changed information in other emails put out to the membership. We took the largest paycuts in the history of FMPD under his presidency and had our step plan frozen for the past three years. Insurance premiums sky rocketed, benefits impacted, and now he leaves early with his tail between his legs as the manager zero's in our pensions. Get a clue haters. Baker doesnt make the pay decisions. Baker doesn't and did not argue to for pay cuts and benefit decreases. This all came from CITY HALL and your COUNCILMEN and WOMEN.... The outgoing PBA board wanted you to believe all admin is the enemy... we all know who the real enemy is and was. He is gone now after a vote by the MEMBERS.... You have nothing but fables and lies to support your position. The smoke has cleared and we are moving forward...... With or without you. So enjoy your miserable life

blame everything on Cecil, forget the fact that you didn't speak on behalf of your fellow officers to the City Manager and council members regarding how we should get a raise to help boost moral and help motivated us to be more proactive against fighting Fort Myers high crimes areas , instead you just sat back in the chair gloating, enjoying every moment listening to each council members vote against our raise. Did watching the council members vote our raise away made you all warm and fuzzy inside while telling yourself that you and the city manager accomplished what you set out to do. And that is to make Cecil look bad so that no one would vote for him. I have known you for a very long time, and we go way back. I also know that Cecil is truly self serving. But the fact that he was no longer in your control and the fact that he fought for the officer's right regardless of what his intentions were, was all I need to vote for him. Watching you and the rest if your groupies stress out because of Cecil was priceless!! Even though it was just for a short period of time that he was able to accomplish this, it was absolutely fantastic and priceless!! Good luck Cecil and forget about this place, I will when I retire!!!
