How hard is it to join FMPD?

Quick question, I've read a lot about this agency on here, yet am still interested in applying...how hard is it to get on at FMPD as compared to other local agencies? Realistically is appreciated as I am looking to work with the men and women who do the job for the right reasons.

Don't have to be in shape to get promoted, and surely not to come in second!

Chief is looking for diversity, it's not his choice but it looks good to the community, so if you are a female, gay, a minority or just plain nuts your in. If you are all of the above then you are hired automatically!

I also want to add if you are all of the above and you get hired you are entitled to 6 months off for FMLA every year for your entire career! No other agency can top this!!
