It's official I am a trooper kind ofWell sounds like it is a done deal. Not that any of our current leadership will put out any useful info. Thanks by the way for the new patches, will make nice collector's pieces. Wonder what sweet deal or great leader has for serving us up.

Let's see some documention or a link showing a bill passage ( no activity as of yet ). I love how the rumor is in full swing as of late...
Re: It's official I am a trooper kind ofIt's done believe that. Have you heard anything from our useless command staff in Tally the last 2 months? Don't expect to on this either.
Re: It's official I am a trooper kind of

Re: It's official I am a trooper kind ofIs this official enough for you?
From: Dees, David Sent: Friday, April 29, 2011 11:13 AM To: MC ALL Subject: Legislative Update Yesterday, the House of Representatives and Senate met in conference to discuss the Senate’s proposal to separate our scale and law enforcement functions and to merge the FDOT OMCC under the DHSMV FHP. During conference, the House Conference Committee members concurred with the Senate’s recommendations. The next step will be the filing of the Conference Committee Report which will then be presented to the legislature for a final vote. Should the House and Senate approve the budget, the proposed merger will have an effective date of July 1, 2011. I realize that the separation of our law enforcement and scale operations will come with great challenges. I know that this TEAM will meet these challenges with your continued dedication and commitment to our CMV mission. I also believe that these challenges bring great opportunities to further enhance both the OMCC and FHP and will result in new opportunities for our staff. Over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to meet with DHSMV Executive Director Julie Jones and FHP Colonel David Brierton to discuss with them the potential impact to both agencies. I have been assured that both Director Jones and Colonel Brierton are committed to making this merger a positive process with focus on the OMCC mission. I sincerely thank Director Jones and Colonel Brierton for their extremely professional and positive ideas as we address these changes. In preparation for the potential merger, Colonel Brierton and I have developed a transitional workgroup with representatives from both agencies. This workgroup is tasked with addressing ALL of our operational and personnel needs with a focus on combining and enhancing the efforts of both agencies. Each and every member of the OMCC plays an important role in this transitional period. We all have a tendency to speculate on how these changes will impact what we do each day. All too often speculation turns into rumors. When you have questions and ideas, I ask that you work with your field office lieutenant and regional captain to funnel these thoughts and ideas to us. Currently, there are well over 100 items that our teams are working through with a focus on the OMCC mission and how it will affect members of both agencies. I will continue to keep you informed as we approach the final stages of the legislative session and I ask that you remain focused on our mission and that you continue to make OMCC shine! Re: It's official I am a trooper kind ofLooks pretty official to me! Trust me, it's more that what we've heard from the FHP brass at GHQ. I think the DHSMV exec. dir. put the squash on any of our command leadership saying anything to the troops for fear of upsetting some legislators.
Re: It's official I am a trooper kind ofSo, how will this make your life, or the life of a trooper better?
Re: It's official I am a trooper kind ofI hope they beam Scotty up and out. Not like he has done anything since he was her just like he was a useless politician at FDLE where he was sacked after Tunnel
