To bad the "normal" people here from spring break have experience that kind of behavior and thuggery on the once beautiful Clearwater beach. I'll bet it's great for the city and I'll bet the "normal" people won't be back soon. Bunch of big mouthed a-holes. Sounds like southside St Pete :?

Firstly: Cecil B. Demille - or shall I call you "WOW" - try learning (hint: read the namual - if you can read) how to actually use the video camera. Just because any idiot can use it right out of the box doesn't mean YOU can.

Secondly: After reviewing your stirring and thought-provoking video footage, all it shows to me is the Clearwater Police Officers removing some nasty trash off Clearwater Beach before the heavy equipment got to it in the morning.

dat would be axing too much. F'ing animals. Can't leave anything on your blanket or it will disappear and the sexual harrassment of the poor girls down there is outragious. If you bring your kids/families there you have to smell their "blunts". I'm glad CPD's finest is out there cleaning up the trash and wish they would bring bigger and more garbage trucks.

I've been going to the beach since I was a kid in the 70's and enjoyed it with my friends and family members. Ever since about the mid 90's it's been going to hell in a handbasket. Hmmmmm? Wonder why. There went the beach

I was visiting Clearwater Beach at the time of this incident, and I honestly have to say that I will never go to this beach again or visit Clearwater just because of this incident. I was rather close to where these people were set up at, and I got there at about 11am and this group was already there. This was a large family and they were all playing with the children flying kites, and playing football. They gave no problems the whole time I was there.

One officer with Clearwater Police approached the group and were questioning why one of the males were asleep. A conversation ensued between this officer and 3 of the people in the group. I remember hearing this one officer telling them to pack up their stuff and leave. The group began to pack up, then another officer with a hat on his head came up and asked them if he could look in they're cooler. One of the females said "no", then it looked like another female sat on the cooler. Then the officer with the hat on picked this lady up and placed her in handcuffs, and walked her away.

Then one black female with short hair began to tell the officers that they did not need to arrest the other girl, then another muscular officer walks behind this female and grabs her arm...and the rest is all on the video. So all of you Clearwater residents that are supporting these officers actions, you should really get the facts before you jump to conclusions. I am a retired NYPD officer and these officers should really get some training on how to deal with people who do not answer them with "yes sir, no sir" all the time. Just because you carry a badge and a weapon, does not mean you are above everyone else, and everyone I mean everyone should be treated with respect. You cannot just approach citizens and demand they do what you tell them to ASAP. The first officer that approached this group was the only officer that was being fair, and speaking with this group with some respect. Shockingly this is also one of the officers that is just standing there while the muscular officer grapples the one black female, then the officer with the hat tackles the other black female.

I live in Sarasota, and I will never visit this area again, and I will make sure all of my colleagues are aware of how this police department operates.

I am behind this group 100% and they do have my telephone number, as I will testify in court on they're behalf anyday.

Hey asshat, I was there too and the MORON who took the video doesn't depict any of the bs you just described. Sooooooooo either you're just a troll, full of crap or, the original poster. Either way, you're part of the problem. We want our beach to be peaceful and law abiding instead of a bunch of fat, big mouthed thugs and thugettes (of any race since you'll pull the race card). The Officers did their jobs and I doubt seriously that they are in fear of any discipline. Just what is it you plan to "testify" about, blowhard

Retired NYC police officer. Now that's fresh. This just in ossifer, alcohol, pot and disorderly conduct are prohibited on Clearwater Beach. Now tell the truth. You are actually the intoxicated/high as a kite, tubby, white idiot that is stumbling around with your hands up almost the entire time the video was taken. Did you sober up yet...that should make u-tube just for that. I fell out of my chair laughing at your stupid ass!! :snicker:

Doesn't Ft Myers have beaches of their own? Makes you wonder why a bunch of trashy punks need to travel to Clearwater. Good riddance! And to the person pretending to be a NYC cop, I know many NYC cops and think you might have an inaccurate perception how they would respond in similar situations. Nice try. Seems to be lost in the description that the officers were sent there due to complaints about a bunch of abnoxious drunks! Thanks CPD for keeping the beaches clean from this kind of filth!
