If I applied for police officer during the last time they advertised, and never heard anything from the agency, am I safe to take it, they were not interested in me and my prior florida police services. I also take it to be the norm not to hear anything either way, or do they retain the applications and pull from them as positions become avaiable.

Just wondering how they select who gets in the hiring process and who does not.
