Wendell Hall should go

Postby Zeusss » 05/14/12 02:02:36

Wendell's course has been run. We need new leadership at the agency and OWH is unwilling to do anything to help us progress.

...and now it looks like the wrongdoing by a few of the officers who were going to be in trouble last week might be swept under the rug. Who will be the sacrificial lamb though? Someone will end up holding the bag while donors and friends end up skating.

Hall must go.

Who is a legit replacement for Hall? Roper is a great guy, but never supervised anyone. He also has no understanding how the S.O. works. He will fall back on what he knows, FHP. Sloan is also a great guy, but I don't know if he has the clout to pull any area other than Milton. I also don't believe that he will beat Hall in the primaries.

If I ran for sheriff and defeated Hall, big changes would happen for the bettering of this agency. C, O, F, plus a couple of Lts in D1, Court Security, maybe in another district, some Sgts, a few deputies are among those that either need walking papers or demotions. The demotees would report to the training Sgt for reassignment to the field training program.

I would devise a plan to utilize available funding or obtain funding to rebuild the fleet. .5 cents sales tax would be an option. Other cars would be tested as part of a feasibility study to determine whether or not to stay with the Impala. The late model 2013's do boast larger interior space, and the 2012's are probably the best performing cars to date, so we'll see. Should look into Chargers or Caprices if they get less expensive.

With the money freed up for Fleet in the general fund, step increases will not only return, but incrementally be brought up to standard. We will never get rich and we knew this a long time ago.

Training will return to full swing. We will ALL train to include the sheriff down to trainees. Everything from active shooter to driving. The reason I say Sheriff Me will train is because I be on the road from time to time. You will hear my voice on the radio.

Officer complaints. Yes there will be supervisor inquiries and IA's. But ONLY the sheriff will have the authority to order them, and there will be NO interference as in swaying IA's to go a certain direction to achieve a political end. Everything will be worked like it is supposed to be. For example if a district Lt lies in reports, or screws over deputies because he/she is vindictive, he/she will be investigated by a contract IA investigator. Finally, frivolous IA's and SI's will cease. The current administration loves ordering SI's over bogus or frivolous complaints. In other words, it will be used as necessary but b.s. complaints from Wendell's campaign supporters will cease.

Notice how Wendell's friends, family and campaign supporters seem to get high paying jobs at the SO? It will not happen under my administration. No sir.

Anyways, i know I'll never run for sheriff, but common sense says everything i mentioned should have already happened but because we have a sheriff who is only interested in getting re-elected nothing will ever happen. Pretty sad because Hall was once a deputy and a sgt. He is truly gone having forgotten about where he came from.

I refuse to vote for Wendell Hall. He has spent his tenure as sheriff with one objective. That objective is to get re-elected. He loves his power, money, prestige and ass kissing followers to fuel his ego. He even arrogantly swam in his self glory when he won the last election even when more people voted AGAINST him. Too bad none of the other candidates could drop out and join forces against him. That was then. The only good candidate is Roper. He may not have had a ton of supervisory experience, but he doesn't need it when he will have people in place to do that. All he has to do give it s thumbs up or down. Same thing with the budget. Wendell knew nothing about budgets when he was elected. Guess what? He learned as he went. Wendell would have been a better sheriff if he had gotten rid of SC, JO, JF and WS when he worked here. Also he shouldn't have appointed friend JK as Lt. That was a dumbass idea. But really, he spent too much trying to get reelected, using coercion to make his officers support him, and being a total bull$hit artist. I totally despise his ideals and if he gets re-elected I will find other employment. He hit a bus on a suspended license, struck another boat and blamed it on his Escambia SO buddies and should up drunk when RJ was shot. His intimidation from SC and colossal puppet JF has gone too long. He wants to seek and destroy those against him? Vote him out. He doesn not care for us. Why do I drive a 186,000 mile car and make the same thing I get paid in 2007? Because Wendell Hall only cares about getting re-elected and nothing about any of us. Period.

The inability of the deputies to back one candidate is just one example of why Otis will be reelected. If the people closest to him can not make up their feeble minds the rest of the county will not be able to either. thus once again splitting the vote in Otis's favor. Get off your tails and back one of them and hope, that's hope the rest of the people will see your example and follow. I still think CS will make the better choice but at least unite and get Otis out of there.

He may be, let us all hear the solution you will make happen. What, no answer, no solution, no direction to take? Let the normal citizens decide because the deputies sure as h@@@ can't. It is a crying shame that the FOP can not, make that will not, take a vocal leadership role in the ouster of a non-productive leader. Yea, I know, what if he wins and the historical payback happens, it's a risk, but if you want him out that badly go for it. Good luck to you all and stay safe. Maybe fate will bring us all a new sheriff and if fate has a sense of humor things will improve.

The funny thing about all of this is that the same people on here complaining about the Sheriff, will be the same ones complaining no matter who is in office.

If you desire change then vote for anyone but Otis. How things turn out from there is a chance I am willing to take. The three stooges will be gone in a couple of years, voluntarily because there is no other way to get rid of them. It will then be seen how the new guy will be judged by who he replaces them with. All stay safe.
