Re: FHP the backstabbers
Hey azz-phace, don't blame a whole agency for the stupidity of 1 Trooper. Maybe Trooper Watts is the correct name to use.
Re: FHP the backstabbersStupidity of on Trooper?? Really?? How about the stupidity and arogance of yet another "macho" who thinks because someone was dumb enough to give him a badge, gun and car that he has a right to do what we arrest and write tickets to others for doing. Just another example why we are targeted by the media and public!! Besides, its not like he was going 10 miles over the limit - 120 give me a break - someone needs to be fired!!
Re: FHP the backstabbers
morron...! the city guy was wrong..no doubt but to be pulled out at gun point and cuff while in uniform...still is a traffic violation. go watch the video when ever you'r milking a 25.
Re: FHP the backstabbersWatched the video...the 9 minute version I saw had no sound until about 5 minutes in.
I don't know if the trooper notified the duty officers that she had a suspected stolen marked vehicle and asked them to check with the City of Miami or not. She activated her lights but turned them off at one point, leading me to believe that she lost sight of the marked vehicle. She picked up the unit again down the road. At this point, if she can't testify that the unit is in fact the same one that previously passed her, then all bets are off. All she has is a unit doing 78 miles an hour. If she can testify that it is in fact the very same unit (same burden of proof as any other case), then she has a criminal violation on her hands, cop or not. How to handle it after that? Opinions differ...feel free to discuss.... I have an issue with her officer safety. If she suspected a stolen vehicle (marked unit or not), she should have her gun out immediately, not after she has gotten out of the car, left her position of cover, and begun approaching the vehicle. As for cuffing the guy, we have all heard of the break-ins at officer's homes and vehicles where uniforms, ID's, and other police equipment was taken. She has to establish that this is not some criminal who has stolen uniforms, equipment and a car. Once it has been established that he is a cop, then cuffs come off. I far as I am concerned, there is NO REASON for anyone to be driving 120+ miles per hour unless you are on a NASCAR race track and have actively engaged safety equipment. Even a fully-trained veteran law enforcement officer is not equipped to handle that speed. And I would like to remind everyone that law enforcement equipment is purchased from the LOW BID VENDOR...we are not talking the best equipment here. I do not trust my County-issued PPV to hold together at an elevated speed, no matter how new it is.
Re: FHP the backstabbersMost of the troopers I deal with are QRU. This one though, she appears to be a wack job. As far as I'm concerned, both of these jerks are an embarrassment.
Lets see, let me score each to see who is the bigger idiot: Miami PO: 1. 120 MPH outside of your jusristiction (what you in a hurry for?) 2. Failing to stop. 3. Showing up to court in uniform (didn't you at least learn something?) 4. Being handcuffed by a TROOPER! Trooper: 1. Taking a fellow cop into custody for a traffic infraction? 2. Drawing your weapon on a fellow cop that is in uniform and in a marked police car(wow, bigger balls than me)! 3. Showing up to court to screw the fellow cop over. 4. Where did she get that haircut (butcher cuts)? I say its a Tie!
Re: FHP the backstabbersThe Miami Officer made a bad decision when he drove at 120 MPH , no questions about that. Everyday we stop motor vehicle doing the same thing. In the State of FL it's a crominal traffic violation (30 MPH or Over posted speed limit). The FHP Trooper (if you can actually force yourself to say that) over reacted to the situation. The Miami Officer
/ Violator was in the wrong but was not aggressive, disrespectful, or did he make any attempt to challenge her authority. The FHP Trooper is a PUSSY and the video clearly indicates that. In addition , if she was so concerned about the safety of others why did she pursue the other unit for over four minutes? I tell you why because she a dumb shit. Two wrongs don't make a right. Had she crashed her vehicle during this chase she would have been found at fault for not exercising good judgment. Lets be real it was a Traffic Violation not a Murder Suspect. She should have attempted to get the tag number or vehicle number and later contacted the Miami PD and inform them of the incident with the video as proof. If she wanted to go further she could have filed the case with the SAO at a later time. She made shitty decisions. And talk about her Officer Safety skills. If the Miami Officer was in fact a criminal she would be dead. About waiting for back up. Once again a shitty decision. The Bottom line is that the Miami Officer was wrong for doing what he did but that's no excuse for how shitty the FHP Trooper acted. My 2 cents.
Re: FHP the backstabbers
You are wrong. 30mph and over the speed limit still a traffic infraction with mandatory court appearance in front of a Magistrate not a Judge. 50mph over the limit still a traffic infraction with $1000.00 fine, again no criminal violation just for the speed.
Re: FHP the backstabbersYou are right. I misspoken. The speeding violation, as a stand alone charge, is not a Criminal charge but does require a mandatory court appearance. In my County the appearance is always in front of Judge not a Magistrate. Never the less this doesn't change anything in reference to the way the FHP Trooper overreacted. The Miami Officer was dead wrong and should be punished according to the law. No more no less. The FHP Trooper is still a PUSSY and will always be one. Just ask some of her fellow Troopers.... Thanks for the correction.
Re: FHP the backstabbersThe bottom line is that Baker Watts has tarnished her reputation as a LEO, permanently. Good luck with getting backup down here!
Re: FHP the backstabbersWHAT ???
Anyone, I mean Anyone, who would find any reason to be critical of this Trooper makes me sick !!!! If this City of Miami Cop is not dismissed over this I will turn in my 35 years of Law Enforcement for a job in a convienient store. I simply could not be more embarrised over this article, hard for me to walk out of the house in my Miami-Dade Uniform, just hard to comprehend such an idiot, all good cops should share in this feeling !!! It was hard enough to face the public after the news release on the marked cars going to the west coast, then the Director not commenting and turning it over to Rivera to tell the media, "we may have to re-visit this", give me a break, who the Hell are we any way??
Re: FHP the backstabbersTo my fellow MDPD officers, these troopers have gone far enough. First the b*tch draws her firearm at the officer, then she calls him a criminal. What the f*ck these troopers are thinking these days. How can one respect these motherf*ckers? After seeing on the news and reading in the paper, it is ridiculous to me that FHP troopers are now stopping marked units. Don't forget that they've stopping unmarked units, then want to give a BS lecture. These azzholes are worthless, they want to flex that they're bad azz state trooper. Payback is a b*tch and Tpr. Donna Watts is now under the microscope by all LEO's.
Re: FHP the backstabbers
Hey vagina mouth! Are you a trooper? Cause you sure got offended "Smokey". This shxt has been going on too long, and it's not just by 1 trooper you moron! ![]()
Re: FHP the backstabbers
Apparently you are a shit starter, how about the MDPD officer who stopped a few people and robbed them in traffic stops, should I think that all of you are that way? Nope I don't think so, please don't start a war you can't handle. MDPD is only in Dade Co, Highway Patrol is throughout the state. Miami is the only place I know where cops have turf battles and are always screwing each other, maybe if the corruption stops it wouldn't happen that way, glad I left Dade Co long time ago.
Re: FHP the backstabbersI know many MDPD Officers have been stopped by FHP without any problems and yet MDPD Officers write local city officers for doing 12 over. A MDPD Officer wrote my sister for 10 over. I called the officer and told him I am MDPD and he wouldn't budge. If we begin to cast an opinion of an agency due to a couple officers, we should remember we have officers like them too. We also have had MDPD Officers arrested in the past 12 months for picking up prostitutes, drug dealing, grand theft, rape, child molestation ect. If the other agencies judged our agency by the actions of a few, none of you would think it's fair. Lets look at this in perspective. The Broward Trooper (Watts) was dead wrong in how she handled it, and the Miami Officer should be suspended and have his take home privileges taken away. 120 MPH is not stupid, it is reckless and will probably be the catalyst that will be the end of their take home cars.
