Happy B-day America

Just a reminder: We owe what we have in this great country to those 56 patroits who signed the Declaration of Independence pledging their lives, fortunes and honor. I would remind you that (in my view) we have no such men today and what these brave men did for us appears to be headed towards a form of Chapter 11. I pray that I'm wrong.

"They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." (Ben Franklin) · "A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever." (John Adams) · "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." (Thomas Jefferson) · "If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." (Thomas Paine) · "It does not take a majority to prevail...but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. ... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom, go from us in peace. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!" (Samuel Adams) · "Give me liberty or give me death!" (Patrick Henry) · "Our cause is noble; it is the cause of mankind!" (George Washington)

Please take these words of wisdom with you into the voting booth on Nov. 6th, 2012
