Be honest, many TRC applicants have been disqualified b/c they had a justified use of force incident. The current command staff and especially the dorks in poly don't understand real law enforcement and haven't ever had to defend themselves or make decisions beyond 316 & 322. When you're dealing with BS like child custody, civil issues, domestics and other complex "No win" scenarios on a daily basis you're almost guaranteed to catch a black eye sooner or later. GHQ would rather employ young geeks that want to post 10 pics a day of their charger to their instagram because they do what they're told. Most new troopers wouldn't even search a car if the driver blew marijuana smoke in their face. The current mantra is "write as many UTC's as you can and leave the other stuff to x49."

Your comments would have more standing if you didn't attack everyone else. Yes, people get DQed and if they are our friend or acquaintance we have a hard time understanding. But, there is always more to the story. We do not know everything about them. I recommended a couple of friends/acquaintances and they were DQed. I was shocked, but when they honestly told me what happened (remember, still don't know all of the story), I understood.

So the standard policy of ANY DV arrest? What a bunch of BS. Any real LEO knows the state policy is that someone should go if there is an allegation of DV, regardless of how minor or stupid. So your applicats end up with stuff like DV assault x15's due to someone being scared and a rookie.
Or a reckless driving ticket? DQ'd. Unless you know someone. BS!

It sounds mean, but he/she was right on the money. The certified people who apply here are the ones who were on the verge of being fired elsewhere and were given the opportunity to resign so the IA would stall. Word travels, and nobody else would go near them, but FHP. We end up with people like Watts, and far worse. When you watch the news and some goober from the SO or PD whacked some old with an expandable baton for not getting his DL out fast enough, or was giving women motorists warnings for speeding, then following them home and demanding sex, did you ever wonder where they end up? They quit before the IA catches up then show up in a tan uniform.
