More Troopers leaving Pensacola

Bumping this thread back to the top. Pensacola needs attention. We need a bandaid to stop the bleeding. We need more Troopers. Send us help please. Last night was not fun.

Just lost one for early retirement/ cut drop early because this place is so understaffed. How can you go from 50plus troopers in Pensacola to 18. What the hell did we do to deserve this treatment. Shame on FHP senior management putting troopers at risk and completely ignoring the needs of the citizens we are sworn to serve and protect.

It has been this way for years, it's nothing new. Everyone under investigations and over worked all while Florida's population grows.

It is the after effects of Eddie Johnson, you are looking at no less than a decade to recover from his poor leadership, if you examine his career every where he was in command this has happened after he left. Where there is smoke there is fire.

Eddie Johnson was the walking talking example of the Laissez-faire leadership, it is a failed concept that does not work and results in a complete break down and lack of discipline.

What you are experiencing now is the after effects of the Eddie Johnson Laissez-faire leadership, it is not so fun now is it.

Blame a guy, which from what I understand was liked by the majority of troopers under him in A, that has been gone 4 years. I highly doubt Eddie Johnson is the reason Pensacola has 18 troopers working.

The major problem besides the pay is the spineless politician sitting in his office in Panama City who has direct oversite of “The Mustache” in Pensacola. Neither one of them have the first clue of how to be a leader. Troopers continue to leave because they “KNOW” that the FHP does not take care of them by allowing these 2 to stay in their current positions!

I really hope you are joking. That's sad if its true. That might make a great story for the evening news if its true. Maybe exposure to the light would motivate needed change.
