    Jeff Bell CNN quote

The union is troubled that the state attorneys office in Broward County has once again made a political decision to arrest three Deputies today in relation to an incident that happened in Tamarac a few months back. The state attorneys office folded to pressure from the NAACP in making these arrests just like the state attorneys office folded under pressure of the black lives matter a few years ago when
they arrested Deputy Peter Peraza for shooting an armed individual. The Union has stood behind these three Deputies from day one and we will continue to do so. In addition to facing criminal charges, the Deputies have been placed on a non-paid status. The Union wishes the Sheriff would back his own Deputies half as much as the Union has and keep them on a paid status while the criminal charges play out. If our newly appointed Sheriff would spend less time trying to be a politician and more time learning how to be a Sheriff, we could have resolved this situation today with a different outcome.

Tony is only worried about being elected. Pure and simple.

True statement! How else is he going to continue to get health insurance for all of his surgeries and pay off his debt!

I sat back and watched the debacle of Scott Israel and did not think this agency could get any worse. I honestly believe we are equally as bad right now under Tony as we were under Israel. Only time will tell if we become worse

Can we just get a raise already? Haven't we been through enough?

Well said Jeff, thank you for always backing the Deputies. And for always fighting these unethical wannabe politicians we call Sheriffs.

Only if it means he's in front of a camera. There are several things he hasn't done and more that he should be doing. Cruise season is over so he should have a little extra time on his hands.

All I know is this place is unraveling with this total incompetence and disaster the Governor stuck in here. This guy is the absolute worst. He held that press conference specifically to make Satz arrest these deputies. Everyone knows what he did and what he was up to, and nobody can or should trust him or any of his command after that. They have lost our trust and it isn’t coming back until we get a real sheriff in here.
