I seriously doubt they stay an hour late. Stop paying them and see how many stay. They may like what they do, I'm not saying they don't. But I assure you, they aren't doing it to "Give to their community." Most of them need the money or don't know what to do with themselves in retirement. It's a shame they broaden their horizons.

Have you heard of, or have evidence, that any of the former Guardians whom were also prior / retired VCSO went back to VCSO as PT or part time or full time? A common move by vcso retirees, in the past...Crickets....
Just curious what drove them all away from Guardian job since the summer up until last week?
And just reading some of these comments: there must be a whole-lot of jealousy from those with many years ahead of them being a prisoner to unpaid on-call (also a phenomenon since Vogel days, unique to VCSO) and that #voluntoldlife...
