Driving Time from Sarasota to Englewood is about 55 minutes. While the SO might stagger their shifts to cover the county, you know deputies getting ready to get off will gravitate towards HQ, leaving south county unprotected.

Can you imaging in an emergency, when minutes feel like hours, that a 55 minute response time is not only dangerous but a disservice to the citizens of the county.

I hope the county commissioners have been made aware of this travesty and will mandate the Sheriff into making south county safe again!

Why would he care? It’s not like he or any staff are going to respond to any calls down there. They all stay up in the puzzle palace trying to move up the ladder. Lots of managers, no leaders. Name a staff member from captain up who is respected?

What you are describing is a technical nuance that can only be understood by people who have worked the road in Sarasota County. Knight has never worked the road here, so he is completely oblivious to what you are describing. Knight's perspective appears to be exclusively financial and not operational. For example:
    1. SROs are costing too much, so get rid of them (even though the school board paid half their salaries).
    2. The south county jail is costing too much, so he abolished it.
    3. Court security is costing too much, so he abandoned security at the Clerk of Court building.
    4. South county operations are costing too much, so he disbanded all of it.
    5. Etc.

Knight has never worked the road here, so he genuinely does not understand how law enforcement operations work here. He is clueless. That is not said as an insult, but it's just a fact. Kurt Hoffman is no different. These are not insults. these are facts.

Knightmare bases his decisions on his time as a glorified meter maid. Can you imagine telling the bank that's calling because they just got robbed that they are on the list and if no shots were fired that to expect it to be a few hours before we get there? His allegiance to to the traffic fairies that are a block away from a call when the infamous "Any unit in the area of..." and dispatch sends a car from 4 zones away then 30 seconds later you hear a traffic fairy call out a 10-50 a black away from that call that was dispatched to the car 4 zones away. Kinghtmare decided that the honor guard wasn't worthy of the specialty pay and he wanted to cut it under the guise of budgetary problems but yet the next year suddenly the traffic boys got $1200 a year if they were and Intox operator. He's just plain dangerous.

Heir Hoffman was never a real cop either. He was a reserve deputy that stole gas from his employer. He was an assistant state attorney before getting the magic wand waved over him and poof he's now a colonel. Don't ever turn your back on either one of these 2 because when you do they will throw knives into it.

    Respect

Respect is earned, and neither has earned anything at the SSO.

Name a supervisor who works her that has earned respect? Any of them who backed the troops is long gone.

    ABC 7 tonight

It seems that this topic is being addresses on the ABC 7 (WWSB 40) tonight at 7. I'd be willing to bet it will be either knightmare or one of his AKers that will try to defend his position.

I wish John Kost could get on the show too and be the voice of reason and challenge this monster called the knightmare administration.

Might be a good way to get his name out there too to run for Sheriff against the knightmare or herr hoffy

I can't. They all retired as soon they were eligible to just to get away from the cancer of this administration.

    Integrity

If Knight has any kind of integrity he will hold Hoffman accountable for his actions. That being said nothing is going to happen. If it was a deputy he would no doubt fire them.
