Well Glocks do malfunction too, as humans. The springs in the mags have been know to stick and when you run, you can hear the rounds rattle. You pull your clip out and a few rounds fall to the ground. Simple fix, to do yourself but it has happen to a few officers, over the years.

    County on laughing at City.
Let's not pile on the officer who suffered the accidental discharge. It is bad enough it did; worse a citizen was injured, albeit slightly. When it comes to accidental discharges, in the universe of pistol carrying people, there are two types, those who have had it and those who lie they have not.

Its a sad day for our departments training section, having one of our own which happens to be a Firearms instructor is a bit embarrassing. But yet again we all are human and this could happen to anyone of us which carry off-duty, i can recall not that long ago yet another one of our own IA investigators having a similar incident at his residence.

How about the Super veteran Firearm instructor Roberto Novo? On his final days he had an accidental discharge at Central training Office. Just ask Chiquita Butler she was there, ex SWAT Albert mistakenly shot a rookie on the shoulder on a training exercise. Elba Valdes accidentally discharged inside Central Female bathroom. The list goes on, Mario will be find just some hours and a reprimand. Life goes on.

What do you expect from a department that rewards people that have had a negligent discharge causing substantial harm To someone.

Look at our very own IA Detective Maritza Alfonso! A Drunk bit...ch who went drinking on duty to Applebee's and shoots a whole in her hand. Then she posted the pictures on social media and nothing happens to her. Can you say cover up! Oh yes guess who was in charge of IA our very own Chief Jorge Colina:

Mr. SWAT Al Alvarez accidentally recklessly shot and injured a Rookie and did not get fire as a matter of fact he is PO in South Miami.
