    I said good morning!

Once again the dumb ass sheriff makes it about him. At the 9/11 memorial at the PSB this morning, apparently the employees and guests who came to remember and honor the victims and heroes of 9/11, did not respond sufficiently when the Sheriff said "Good Morning." He made them say it again to his satisfaction. Until then, it was solemn and thoughtful. It's not about YOU a-hole.

You're not repeating the best part, he told the assembled crowd that he was so moved by the events of 9/11, he gave up a "lucrative " NFL career to serve as a police officer!!

That's not what it's about. It's a regional thing that has to do with manners. South Floridians have no idea that they are ill mannered.

    For example:

They respond to "thank you" with "no problem," instead of "you're welcome." Some of this is just rudeness and some of it is from the Hispanic influence of "de nada". Either way, 'you're welcome" is the only response that is polite.

SFlo have a WEAK handshake; which to a North-easterner is the sign of weak character

SFlo yawn audibly without covering their mouth. RUDE

A "good morning" in the northeast is expected to be met with an equally sincere "good morning" NOT a mumble.

Folks from North Jersey, Long Island and Staten Island are generally as ill mannered as South Floridians; so they fit right in; weak handshake and all.

Try a "no problem" if you're waiting for a table in a restaurant up North. You'll still be sitting there at closing.

If you're suggesting that the region hes from is dictating that arrogant repeated bark. You sir, are wrong. He is not FROM anywhere. Hes 40 years old and has lived in 4 different states. Hes a drifter. No place on earth has an influence on one's character by merely driving through the state, or running from the law to said state. It's a cultural, arrogant control thing that is highly offensive to most.

Obviously you’re trying to be funny, but at this point anything this guy says that sounds crazy is believable.

I agree that people here are rude. But even people from up north know that barking at a crowd because you don’t receive a desired response is offensive and out of line.

It wasn't meant as a joke, he really said it.
