It's no longer cost effective to haul all those papers around town for delivery into racks because everything is going online. Locals no longer pick them up from the racks because they can all be read online, but tourists might still pick them up. The days of racks are numbered.

Once one documented lie is confirmed, then the credibility of future statements becomes problematic. If two lies are confirmed, then the issue is exacerbated – and so on. Where does fabrication end – and where does truth begin? It becomes a murky gray area – and only the liar knows exactly where lies end and truth begins. Interviewing that kind of person is not fun. And if that kind of person is in a position of leadership in law enforcement, then it’s problematic.

Other serious issues with electing a documented thief & liar:
A.) his initial instinct is to lie to protect himself
B.) his insecurities forbid his delicate ego for open, honest, sincere criticisms
C.) he only wants praise wether deserved or not
D.) he is only going to promote & surround himself with other liars with checkered pasts, this makes them beholden to him
E.) he is unable to comprehend deputies/employees will tell the truth when facing complaints or alleged wrong doing, because his instinct is to lie to protect himself, they all immediately truly believe everyone else will lie to protect themselves. What this translates to is no matter what the complaint or allegation is made against you, you are guilty.
Last but not least, he is 100% pompous, fake & ill equipped to be a cop, let a lone a sheriff.
He will be outed in the near future.... unfortunately not before the election, but trust me, it’s coming. Look on the bright side, it will be worthy of national news when a newly elected sheriff is indicted.

Paul Fern:
- Has never been accused or convicted of a crime.
- Has never failed a polygraph, nor has he ever admitted to criminal activities during a polygraph exam.
- Has a Bachelors degree.
- Served honorably as a Federal law enforcement officer.
- Has no questionable political or criminal baggage following him.
- Is not a paid-politician.
Regardless of the above, the only thing that matters is what happens at the ballot box.

Many print magazines have already been discontinued or have gone out of business -- and print newspaper companies are not far behind. Big traditional print newspapers will go out of business in the next 10 years because people refuse to pay for their online subscriptions because news is free elsewhere. The entire news industry is changing.

ANOTHER article about encouraging a deputy to lie under oath
Thank you for sharing the above. It is very enlightening.
On a different but similar topic, here is an old DOCUMENTED article from the way-back machine about how a current command staff member (John Walsh) encouraged another deputy to lie under oath:
https://news.google.com/newspapers?n...pg=2327,389314
Most of the above articles about John Walsh have been scrubbed from the internet, but for some strange reason, the above article is still viewable for the public to see (as of today on 8.10.20). It too may be scrubbed to prevent the public from knowing the truth about how lying under oath is RAMPANT among the current command staff of the Sarasota Sheriff's Office. One command staff deputy will swear under oath that is lie is the truth -- and then another command staff deputy will swear to it.

The only "wayback articles" about John Walsh (and others) that were scrubbed from internet viewing are those that were hosted by the Sarasota-Herald Tribune newspaper. The above "wayback link" is hosted by Google (and not the local newspaper), which is why it has not been scrubbed. Take a pic of it and save it for your files while you still have access to it.

Oh what a web we weave when we attempt to deceive!
Sheriff Tom Knight said he promoted John Walsh as part of his “succession plan” for the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office. Knight’s “succession plan” includes the following promotions into his command staff:
- Captain John Walsh, who lied under oath and then encouraged another deputy (Mark Macale) to lie under oath for him during an official internal investigation. The Sarasota-Herald Tribune article is scrubbed from the Tribune website, but it is still posted at the above link at google.news.com.
. - Colonel Kurt Hoffman, who lied under oath during an official lie detector test.
. - Lieutenant Dan Tutko, who as a supervisor, asked a subordinate deputy to lie during a K9 sniff at a traffic stop (link to memorialized article is available upon request).
Knight’s “succession plan” comments are scrubbed from the Sarasota Herald-Tribune website. However, to see a memorialized copy of his comments, click on this link and scroll to the bottom of the page:

Here is the original Sarasota Herald-Tribune link that is scrubbed of Knight's "succession plan" comments. But beware – the H-T link has previously had vicious malware attached to it – so click on it at your own risk:

Knight’s “succession plan” involves promoting vetted liars who have documented records of lying. You cannot make this stuff up.
