Tommy the trickster for GPS
Tommy sent an email out about the gps, in the email at the end he writes
We have contacted several other departments whom have GPS systems in place in order to gather information and identify possible issues that may come up as “bumps in the road”. We will continue to work diligently to ensure that this system is implemented in a way that does not allow it to be abused against our members.
Tommy Reyes is telling us to accept it he’s not stopping it!

GPS, cameras on the body and in the car are the wave of things to come for law Enforcement. Departments want to cut down on liability and settlements. Yes, as of all thing with this place, it will be used against selected people.. Honestly, what's the point of saying it's the Reyes fault for not stopping it. City own's the vehicle and can decide anytime they choose to do, what ever they want. Idle time, fu@k you, I parked and walked. If the department and city could prevent GPS information, from getting released to the public and court's, cause then it becomes public record. Then ok but we all know they can't or won't fight it. Just think, if one of our dreamer babies here, need to make some extra cash, lots!! If they learn of the passwords, that allows you to see ALL vehicle with GPS and what to log into. $$$$ So, what's next for us?? A kill switch, to disable our vehicles, so as not to go after any vehicles? Maybe if ones runs to a store real quick and it's not allowed?? Radio's, computers and now cars with GPS. Question before you issued my firearm, did you shoot it and save a round or two, to compare it in a OIS??
People, say just do your job and you'll be ok and get backing. Would we really? I've known officers to get nailed over a mistake, that is minor, on a scale of things BUT others can lie, beat the hell out of another, lie some more and they get promotions and transfers. Supervisor's really don't back you, as once before. Fear, is the way, some idiot's here think, policing should be. Who, should we fear more, the call, that may turn sideways and bite us on the azz or someone, who's been sitting behind a desk for most of their career here and are expects at modern policing and will second guess your every actions?? The number games, make so many arrest and write tickets or your get a holiday? The ones making these demands, most made less arrest in their whole time here, then a officer, working patrol, for a few years.
