Double standards
Does the Sheriff know that corrections still aren't allowed to grow beards? Or is the administration too worried about drop and where they will be working next week.

They are scared to ask and really don’t even care. Most of them are so close to retirement they can see that first pension check. Need lots of change in corrections.

It’s not going anywhere just because you can’t grow one. It’s the 21st century. Almost every agency in South Florida is either allowing or is in the process of allowing beards. Same with outer vests.
As a department if you stay stuck in the past you’ll lose out on valuable and experienced officers who appreciate those quality of life perks. Our sheriff is aware of this and has marketed our agency as a leader in the field.
