Pay attention
You guys just don’t get it. Quit name calling and pay attention to what this thread is about. It’s not about name calling, it’s about how your contract is not being enforced or adhered to by your FOP Union or the representatives. This bad behavior does not happen in a vacuum. Chief “Nipples” as you call him is the one ultimately responsible for the enforcement of said contract since he is the first to be aware of any violations and in this case the cause of it for a period of three years. When the contract is not followed it is for many reasons. In your case The State FOP President is on Nipple’s side, your representatives are also, they are getting that special treatment to ignore the violations. The City Manager, Mayor, Council Members, City Attorney and that new, 100 thousand dollar a year, Human Resources Manager are also involved. So what do you do? Too bad the Red Dragon was terminated, he would know and at least advise, but it seems no one in the Department will take any action, you would rather name call.
Read the Contract! (Sept. 2019)
10.1 states, “…fill such vacancy within thirty (30) days…”.
How long has the Red Dragon been gone?
10.9 states, “…formal training during the twelve (12) month probationary period…”.
Why was one newly promoted Sergeant given a two and a half year probationary status.
How many Sergeants are there now? One. How many positions for Sergeant are budgeted? Three! Why aren’t there the required three? I bet Nipples knows something you don’t, that The Red Dragon and Big Money Meadows will be returning?
Lt. Collins is the uniform road patrol Lieutenant, why is he allowing this to continue? We all know, lack of spine and a “me first attitude”. He has always been a team player on a one man team who often does not represent himself.
So you have a new contract with the same problems as the old one, try and work together, where is that thin blue line?

Where do you think you are? The county? This place has the most disloyal people youve ever met. These people are disloyal to the people closest to them their wives, and family. You think your going to get a fair shake? Dream on.
The contract is over with. Stop your crying and rehashing what’s already done.
This place is 2 f@ok’d for words

Thank god this place is not the county. We have all the same benefits as the county. Great money. FRS. Take home cars. Not that many calls. IDK why some people are a problem and don’t like it here. You should be lucky that you have a good job.
