If the motorcyclist would of been a black male or female and the officer white, definitely many would of been terminated including our chief. This time around it was permissible because the officer is black and our cousin was a white cuban male. I thank those who had the courage to provide us with the reports and internal affairs findings. City Hall and our mayor is obligated to take matters into his hands and provide an explanation, condolences, and assure the removal of these members who failed to abide to our departments code of ethics and mission. Proper notification of this deficiency will be provided to the Department of Justice, the FBI and the FDLE.

Good cause the truth still hasn’t been revealed nor the officers that were responsible for this tragedy held accountable. Bottom line is your cousin was killed and his wife seriously injured. Instead of the MPD officers that are responsible for helping them they chose to flee while others conspired to cover it up. Twenty plus officers were in the area that day targeting speeders and none Crossed the thin blue line of silences to expose the truth. Even while the media was asking questions trying to determine if MPD officers were in the area Colina and several of his staff members remain silent withholding information. Officers that were interviewed two years later were handed a scripted of I don’t remember nothing.

CIP, Crespo report, New Times, and department members. Our deepest thank you and gratitude for providing the public with vital information concerning our loved one who was killed a year ago. We have yet to receive proper condolences and adequate truthful information as to what really occurred on that tragic date. We are mandating truth and justice. Dear chief of police, we have always had the outmost respect for you and your professionalism towards the citizens of this community. Please don’t allow blood to cover your hands on behalf of these members who decided to look the other way and do what was wrong to discredit key witnesses and contaminate and omit crucial evidence. The Go Pro camera was crucial from the very beginning, and investigators involved chose to ignore its importance and hide it inside a drawer. When have we collected a weapon at a murder scene and placed it inside a detectives drawer for days? It is obvious that such practice was utilized to buy time for stories to match, delay findings and allow the officer in question to retire and separate completely from the department before the questioning began. We demand justice for his family and termination of these officers, investigators and supervisors which collaborated in this outrageous cover up. Dear chief, do what is correct and God will always steer you right. Do not allow internal affairs to embarrass our department and for others to classify us as a corrupt organization. Trump 2020.

Just in case you didn’t know the Go Pro Camera that was sent to the Secret Service to retrieve the footage was really given to a Miami Police detective that was detached to them. So don’t get fool it was handed over to an independent agency. The camera was tampered with.

Retired officer in question must be subpoenaed and interviewed immediately. Those who participated in not questioning him within adequate time, shall be held accountable for their dismissive approach to the thorough investigation of this incident. We are crying and reaching out desperately via this site and other avenues in order to seek justice for our beloved family member who lost his life and his death investigation was poorly treated and covered up to look as if he was speeding and then crashed without any or whatsoever police involvement. City officials act immediately. Respond to those emails immediately!!!!
