Spoke with a buddy from BSO who advised me that they have just over 200 covid-19 cases in that department. Are we similar to them?

I’m sure we are but the department won’t tell us. So much for keeping us updated Director.

Impossible to tell without widespread testing taking place, and let’s face it. By the time this country is ready to test everyone it’ll be too late. The damage will have been done.
All you motherTrumpers out there believing that it was another flu, or a hoax, pay attention. When this is all said and done everyone here will personally know someone who died from this thing. There’s people coming to me telling that our local hospitals are already overwhelmed with dead and dying patients coming in with difficulty breathing. Body bags. Freezer containers holding the dead because our morgue is full, like during the 80s and the cocaine cowboys. Don’t know if these are true stories. But hospitals ain’t exactly volunteering that information.
This nation has always received leadership from the top. When Obama was president there was a Ebola outbreak and two Americans died. Two. And every Republican asshole screamed and fakecried about it. He sent teams of scientists and disease experts to West Africa to help contain this thing knowing that eventually it’ll just wind up here. Sound familiar? Kinda like this wound up here.
What did Trump do? He talked about Easter and miracles. We suck at fighting this. But we are only as incompetent as our national leadership. Law enforcement is the arm of the government it works under. So no wonder we’re unequipped and unready and unprepared. It’s a reflection of the nation’s overall lack of preparedness. The only thing that’ll save our ass is luck. Luck. Pure and simple. Hold your loved ones tight. When they get sick and die, they die completely alone to prevent more infection. That’s the scariest part of this. God help us.

There were 11 cases of Ebola in the US and 2 people died. That is an 18% death rate. There are 311,658 cases of covid-19 in the US with 8492 deaths. That is a 2.72% death rate. Could you please explain your rationale?

I heard our Director Mayor Big Daddy G is under quarantine, apparently he was exposed to stupidity at HQ so he’s scared Shitzless now testing daily to see how stupider he gets and how white his teeth get

So his many Americans died of H1N1 (swine flu) before the Obama Administration did anything?
Even then, that sickness was nothing like this pandemic.
How about our hotshot units here at MDPD staffed full of the best and brightest of friends and family, but they had no contingency plan either. Under equipped, unprepared, ..... but full if alphabet squads doing nothing, "patrolling districts", but they don't handle any calls because they don't have marked cars, don't have BWCs, don't have laptops to write a report, aren't where they are supposed to be ...... and many are making overtime.
Just tell the IMT you did 10,000 business and park checks because everyone knows FEMA pays $1,000 per stat. 😆
