If he listed the address in Venice as his residence then that is fraud. If he listed it as his mailing address or election HQ, that is another story.
Who knows the answer to this?
Can someone who actually knows the facts please outline his resume? I am curious where this 30 years of law enforcement experience is.... uh, bad news Hoffman we know you have difficulty with telling the truth or facts but working as an attorney in SAO is NOT law enforcement.
Justice system yes
Legal system yes
Law enforcement. NO!
Then again, your an lawyer\Politician so facts and the truth don’t matter now, huh.
Oh how the past will SOON haunt us....

- State law says that a LEO does not have to publicly post their residential address.
- Kurt Hoffman is a LEO.
- Does being a LEO statutorily exempt Hoffman from posting his residential address as a political candidate for the office of sheriff?
Does anyone have an explanation for why Hoffman posted an office building as his residential address?

Who has an investigative reporter
Look at his mortgage application for his property off east river rd. Signed by Hoffman and look at his wife’s signature. Now go into Charlotte county clerk of court and look at his wife’s signature again. Not even close. So we want a sheriff who is potentially forging signatures? You may say what’s the big deal? But if he does that without question of what the law requires what will he do at work. Oh by the way, he did this at work on company time which is a violation of sheriff’s department policy. There you have it. One word amoral.

If anyone inside the Sarasota Sheriff's Office steps forward to testify as a witness or as a complainant, then they will be politically destroyed by Tom Knight and Kurt Hoffman -- and their career will be over.
No complainant = No crime
No victim = No crime
No witness = No evidence
Nonetheless, it is abundantly clear that Hoffman will never be an elected sheriff. If he does not realize it yet, there will come a time when he will intuitively realize it. Hoffman is cooked, as in done. He was finished from the start.

I had to look up the defintion of the word "amoral," but it sounds appropriate!
- Amoral - lacking a moral sense; unconcerned with the rightness or wrongness of something.

On June 6, 2019, Kurt A. Hoffman filed with the Sarasota Supervisor of Elections, to be a candidate for Sarasota Sheriff in 2020. Hoffman is one of a few in the State of Florida who wears two hats at the same time. He is an Active Attorney and Law Enforcement officer at the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office.
He attended the FBI academy in Quantico,Virginia to enhance his resume and hone his law enforcement skills. Hoffman is a direct threat to justice and rule of law being served in the jurisdiction of Sarasota County. He purposefully and intentionally destroyed evidence of the torture killing of Murray B. Cohen which took place on Siesta Key, January 13, 2003.
Hoffman used his skills as an attorney and highly trained police officer to break the system and thwart justice from ever being served for Murray’s Florida family. Hoffman is a disgrace to honest law enforcement and everything the United States of America is suppose to stand for. Kurt A. Hoffman is the last person on this earth who should become a sheriff anywhere in America.

Just wait until Steve Esdell gets wind of Hoffman running for Sheriff. Esdell is gonna be a thorn in Hoffmans side. If Hoffman ever wants to be Sheriff he should consider paying off Esdell.

First Quote of the day "Office of the Sheriff" = Sheriff's Office. Sheriff's Departments are not in Florida...... Now for the huge conspiracy of a mortgage application. Whew Has anyone ever done a title closing or Mortgage application??? By the end of signing My signature looks likes a Doctors signature. Is this really news??? Hoffman will be a fine Sheriff. Lets see it is year 2019 and he has been an Assistant State Attorney, Law Enforcement Deputy in Two counties. Sorry folks he is gainfully employed what 30 years later. Can we all just get over the Conspiracy theories...... I for one believe he will make a Great Sheriff!! Unfortunately you see these disgruntled employees come out of the woodwork on every election. Monge,Balkwill,Knight now Hoffman.
