Have things really changed here
well here we have it Sgt SS screws the pooch again. Pissed the SCSO off and so the war escalates. He got caught screwing off at the braves game and had a confrontation with a SCSO Major, who was or was not intoxicated. Major was off duty but still was the senior LEO in the park. Since the SCSO has the primary and sole jurisdiction in this park and NPPD was as quoted allowed to attend, we can pretty much kiss this off duty detail good bye. Some things need to be kept in house and within the departments. This major had no more of an ego than SS had as a lieutenant before he was demoted and yes passed over several times for the job he once had.

Sorry this wasnt the Sargents screw up, the Major was drunk and out of line. He admits to the drinking and 5 or 6 witnesses all had same observation.

read the IA, he admitted not being intox, sheriff bought his story. Will cost us a good gig and further widened the rift between both agencies. This was a cya on SS part, he was scared the sheriff would say something, nothing more, he struck 1st. Remember it is the counties jurisdiction, they have primary leo authority here, embarrassed them big time, lets see the fallout.

Were you there to see the altercation between SS and the SCSO Major? Just want the first hand facts please, not hearsay contrived embellishment, because that doesn’t happen here right? Seriously no offense, just want it straight, hope you can understand.
CCSO roiding all the way! We all know a person can be a good guy on the job, and make poor decisions in their personal life. If you thought our department was clean: WRONG! And I don’t think the other poster got too close to home in scaring the roiders away, as much as some of them were too far away from home in Tallahassee with the governor and too occupied to propagate their nonsense.
Speaking of which, all that was was for TG to reassure the governor that when he goes to replace the next elected sheriff that TG will willing take the appointment. We all know TG is bucking to be a sheriff and this is his ticket!

SSO Major Paul Richard's badge and gun are being taken away and he is being suspended for six days starting on May 23.
Eleven witnesses described him as "drunk and disorderly," to include an off-duty BPD sergeant, as well as an on-duty NPPD sergeant. There were too many civilian witnesses to be able to sweep this one under the rug.
Click here and then scroll down to click on the IA report.
