Get ready for the next wave of people leaving. They’re too stupid to realize they are wasting money with recruitment bonuses, when holding out a raise is costing them an equivalent number of people out the back end. The problem is we are trading experience for rookies. Inevitably that results in more mistakes and lawsuits It costs a lot more than a signing bonus to develop a cop in this county.

The problem is there hasn’t been a 5,5,5 in the last twenty years at BSO. While there have been several other agencies surrounding BSO who consistently get 5,5,5 or 4,5,4. And over time that has left us WAY BEHIND in PAY! So keep being stupid and holding out and playing games and keep watching people leave. Broward County Sucks.
