Stop covering up and promoting bad behavior all you are doing is empowering more bad behavior because they are getting away with it. From det’s falsifying records, dui catch and release,, sleeping on duty etc enough is enough. Stop covering up someone is going to get hurt!

So you want to go back 10-20 years and start writing people up? If you are serious then you understand that to correct current problems that you cite (sleeping on duty, shredding reports (?), moral turpitude issues, etc.) have to be addressed by writing people up and firing people.
There is no way that anyone at any department anywhere in the whole world can go back retroactively write people up.
Did you ever notice that when Sgts/Capts hold people accountable (Counseling/ written up) that they are suddenly attacked here? The policies and procedures that departments have are not that hard to follow (ie: sleeping on duty).

It’s gotta start somewhere like demoting or firing the whole command staff and bringing in a new sheriff. People here have been allowed to do nothing and commit crimes for decades with no accountability.

Agreed, however, Sgts and higher should stop holding their noses high in the air acting as if they have never done anything wrong. We all have bended the rules, we all have been lazy and fudged a report, taken lunch longer then we should have etc . But for any person to act as if they are perfect is insane.
When it becomes blatant and repetitive it is a problem. We have a SGT whom was recently promoted making our brothers and sisters officers look bad by being petty , this Sgt was not a prize winner herself ( Yes AO you have done wrong also) .
The problem is we are our worst enemy and we are crabs in a bucket pulling each other down, if we just stop and help eachohter out, maybe we may all be prosperous and stop forgetting where we came from, forgetting we all have things hidden in our closets. From say “ Howdy “ at roll call , shredding cases , not showing up to a detail , cleaning a gun after a shooting … the list goes on and on ….Nobody is perfect and stop forgetting where you come from !
