The command staff wouldn’t know what to do if they did retire. This job is their identity, and they be lost without PCSO, title and recognition. They couldn’t handle being a normal citizen without their ego and power.

Nobody is forcing Bob to stay on either. He can leave anytime and many people will just throw a party. Good riddance to a
politician who was never a LEO. Never! No integrity or ethics. No respect and responsibility for the voters' trust, the oath he swore to uphold, and no backing up his deputies. I am a career LEO who rose through the ranks and Bob is not.
