I am considering applying there. Is the morale as bad as what these forums state?

Like all social media forums, do not always believe what you read. This is an unsecured platform for anyone to post on, therefore current, retired and members of the public can post anything on here.
It’s a great agency to work for with a great group of guys and gals. Like every place, it comes with pros and cons, more so pros. It also comes with a very, very small group of bad apples who like to spread rumors and hate amongst the masses. They’re easy to identify and ignore. If you’ve got a good attitude and an even better drive to be a great cop, put in your application and see what happens.
Good luck.

That’s bs, ask an officer or even better ask a tpd or hcso about tt reputation. Horrible benefits, poor leadership, poor pay plan, calls of service are a joke, station is a joke. All officers that have potential have left or are in process.. it’s a training ground for bad training. Go anywhere else if you can.

Not sure why prior post said current and retired can post on here like that’s a bad thing? Wouldn’t you want to hear from someone who was around for 20 years and someone who’s been here 20 mins. That prior post is admin combating the truth.
Officers have been hired and day one have been asked by Sgt’s why they didn’t apply to tpd or somewhere else. K9 becomes available and no one takes it.. that shows moral at tt.
Everyone is waiting for det spot to open but det know better then to leave.
