St. PetersBUG infestation
Melanie Bevan is an Admin asschief at St Pete PD, a glorified secretarial job which probably will be civilianized. She has her pension time in and wants to climb higher. Sarasota libs are tightly bound to St Pete mayor Rick Kriseman and they want to make political inroads in Manatee. Melanie Bevan is their gal. As BPD chief, she'll be to the Manatee sheriff what chief Bernadette DiPino is to the Sarasota sheriff -- >

Chief Bevan would be the perfect choice for BPD! She actually has a graduate education, female, and doesn't qualify for a senior citizen discount like the existing Chief or Turner from Hicksville!

Told ya so, that's ^ what Mel will bring to Bradenton. They did the same thing when she applied for St. Pete police chief. Let me introduce you to Mel's obnoxious cheerleaders who live in the high crime urban rat trap known as Da 'Burg. Their knowledge of Manatee is limited to what they recall of the Rubonia parade before passing out.

Da Burg
We have this moron (posting above) on our board to. It's political season in Da Burg and apparently people still believe this sight is used by just cops. Bevan would do fantastic for you in Bradenton. But don't take the word of an anonymous poster, call the union up here, call anybody not politically connected and they will tell you she should have been our next chief.

We definitely don't need Triple-Dipping Turner here, I think he is more senior than our existing part-time resident. Bevan would be a welcomed change to this nuthouse!

Fer sure!...contact Markus Hughes at Sun Coast PBA in Pinellas. In addition to his union position, he's the designated LGBT liaison @ St Pete PD. Markus is presently assisting the dept's Training Division (under Admin asschief Melanie Bevan) to implement transgender training for officers. I'm sure this is something Bradenton PD would be interested in.

Tampa Bay Times-6/19/2014-Questions for Chief Candidates
A finalist for St. Petersburg Police Chief is "Melanie Bevan, whose supporters are waging a curious social media campaign on her behalf."
This is what BPD will get with Bevan

Obviously you don't like MB, and your from SPPD. We are in desperate need of an educated, and mentally capable Chief here at BPD who can bring some large city policing knowledge to Bradenton! We don't need anyone from a tiny department in cracker land, or a someone looking from DC to coast for way too long and do nothing except enjoy a fat second paycheck!

You're ignorant on sooooo many levels.
1)Bevan isn't likely to share your low opinion of Brooksville/Hernando County; according to property records she finds it to be a very desirable place. https://www.myfloridacounty.com/ori/index.do
2)In fact, she may jump at the chance to be Brooksville PD chief when Chief Turner vacates.
3)Every Top 9 candidate including Bevan stands to be a double-dipper.
4)Bradenton isn't picking a chief based on social media campaigns; they'd be wise to omit her from the Final 3 list if they want to avoid an influx of disruptive community organizers from crime ridden St. Pete who want to put their stamp on Bradenton.
