To begin i would like to start off by saying i am aware of politics and disgruntled employees in a police department, Mine has it.

I would like to ask a question and not get an ignorant response as i probably know i will.

I am in the process with your department, and already did my last step, the CVSA. Passed. My question is, what are the chances someone in the chain of command wont sign off on an applicant? If so, why even keep processing them to that point of taking their CVSA?

Or

If they make it to the CVSA, has the command staff already reviewed their application?

This is exactly what people are complaining about *Nepotism*. If a person is qualified they deserve to be hired, throw the Family and Friends package in the garbage, it could very well be part of the problems in the department.

If you passed the cvsa, then you still have the home interview and they have to pull your file from your dept if you a lateral or complete your background . There's still a high chance upper command or hr won't sign off on your file . So in my opinion just go with the process and hope everything goes well.
