For what he and DC MD did to the reserve program alone, I say yes.

Re: Vote of No Confidence
Actually DC MD fixed the reserve program - it was a joke and an embarrassment.
Here are just a few of the issues involving the Reserve Unit:
- Holding Reserves meetings in bars,
Reserve officers not meeting the minimum working hours - some didn't come in at all,
Reserves not qualifying with firearms like the rest of us (and state statue requires)
Taking units home (in violation of policy)
Who used to run the Reserves - Marty and Joe- tell me honestly either of those guys are qualified to run anything - both dishonest, morally corrupt, embarrassments to the profession and the PD.
These are just a few of the Reserve Unit's problems.
So get it right next time please.

Funny I just saw one of Plantation's finest on TruTv the other day. Disorder in the Court, getting into a scuffled outside the Broward County Courthouse.

Re: Vote of No Confidence
Among many sad statements, is the way the top two administrators treat people. Someone posted an opinion about how the DC fixed the reserve program. He didn't fix the two people characterized as corrupt. All he and the chief did is run off a group of good people who volunteered 10, 20 and maybe even 30 years of their lives to this place. They were shown the door without so much as a thank you. Many went on to become reserves for other police departments. Next time you run into one of them, ask them their opinion of the chief, the DC and this place. If they could, they would run the chief and DC out of here without an ounce of hesitation. When those two choose to retire one day they will probably throw themselves a huge party and brag about all their accomplishments. Improving morale and leading people are not certainly not among them. Both need to go!

DeJa Vu bite your tongue! Are you implying that the Plantation Police Department has suffered a lack of morale in the past! I thought the Grass was Greener in the City of Plantation.

Re: Vote of No Confidence
This place has sunk to a new spineless low. Since when do we just allow any employee to freely walk the halls of the police department. Why Why Why??????? At what point do the powers to be say Im sorry but this is a secure facility and you will require an escort throughout the building. From this point forward I will not question anyone walking thru the building or driving into the back lot I will just assume they have been granted permission. I know on occasions I may come across a newly hired CSA or Police Officer whom I may not know, and usually they will introduce themselves to put any suspicions to rest, however it is a travesty when the person who is directly responsible for trying to ruin the hard working and dedicated officers pension and benefits, is allowed to walk thru the pd with his chest puffed out. ( sorry for the run on sentence ). Imagine the surprise while your working out on your lunch hour in an attempt to stay fit to serve the great residents of the city and this guy walks into the gym. ( by the way you left your weights on the leg press machine something we have been advised could cause us officers that you hate to lose our gym privledges ). I certainly hope there is no confusion by administration why this departments moral is at the lowest it has ever been, I swear what is wrong with standing up for the officers once in awhile and showing a little loyalty to those whom you are supposed to be leading. A boss says do it, a leader says lets do it together!!!!
