Re: Goodbye DOT
Anyone know what is going to happen with the cars. Will they be switched over to black and tan or remain as the are until they are turned in at 200,000 miles? :snicker:

Re: Goodbye DOT
Retired dot guy, thanks we will have a good time now that we will not be kicked for doing police work. It will be nice to work for an agency that recognizes we are cops first and foremost. You old timers that want to call yourselves a cop but go for years without putting cuffs on someone will not be missed and its a good thing you are gone already. Enjoy your retirement.

Re: Goodbye DOT
Cars colors will remain the same right now. Through attrition they will be changed over to black and tan. For right now they are taking "FDOT" off the bottom of the cars and placing a Florida Highway Patrol seal over the top of the Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Compliance seal.

Good bye to a wonderful agency. We did great things, and will continue to do great things at our new home. Life changes and we must change with it. No one ever likes change. Colonel Dees, we know you did your very best to keep as many of us as possible, and to limit the reductions in rank and pay. But those in charge will do what they feel is best , even when they are incorrect.
