    Notice

    NOTICE: ELECTRONIC FINGERPRINTING

Beginning May 21, 2008 applications for Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco licensure will be required to have criminal background check(s) performed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement electronically. Each applicant shall submit electronic fingerprints through the department’s vendor PearsonVue.

Electronic fingerprinting reduces the likelihood of illegible fingerprints or missing information on the fingerprint card and may reduce the overall application processing time.

Great system they have there. Submit your fingerprints so we can see if you are a criminal six to eight months after you are up and running. What a joke! And as usual, the agents have to try their best to clean up the mess after licensing gives out another sucker like at the bank. Not there fault of course, blame the director and the gov's office.

Licensing has become a joke. they've gie a license to any breathing person who enters. In my office we're still trying to fix a mess approved in Tallahassee, not in our office. When applicants realize they can't get approved in a local office, they go to Tallahassee or Orlando....works every time!
