ST. PETERSBURG - Had he not retired, a St. Petersburg police officer would have been fired for posting degrading computer-altered pictures of police administrators and others on a Web site popular in the law enforcement community, according to a memorandum released this afternoon.

So he would have been fired but you can sit around on overtinme watching PORN and thats 45 days? Seems to me that our staff has a double standard for who gets fired and who doesn't.

Does anyone remember how many Detectives had their careers destroyed for allegedly falsifying time sheets? Why is it OK to lie and steal time to watch PORN when others got fired, demoted and forced into retirement for training on the clock?

Maybe our boy Chunky has a fascination for PORN too. OMG this place continues to sink to new lows...

Instead of the St. Pete leadership getting upset they should pay attention to what is being said. What do they do instead? They get upset, stomp their feet, and completely ignore everything said on this site as "degrading."

This Dept needs help! You know it does! Morale is very low, walk into the locker room and see for yourself. Stop making it worse. This dept has so much potential to be one of the best and it would not take a lot to get it their. All you need to do is stand by your officers. Stop attacking us harder than you allow us to attack the crime on the streets. Stop treating us as a disposable commodity with no meaning. Stop attacking people for venting their frustrations on an anonymous website...its our only outlet that will not get us fired.

If I knew I would NOT get fired I would be more than happy to meet with you upstairs and tell you in extreme detail what the legitimate complaints or for this dept that we ALL share and some popular suggestions from the troops to fix it...but...that is not how this dept works. The reality is that my almost fifteen years would be thrown away when you came after me with a petty IA investigation for "policy violation" or completely BS citizen complaint for arresting their son for dealing crack when "he is such a nice boy."

Due to Picasso retiring before he could be "punished", the admin will be looking to fire an officer to feed their bloodlust. If they were going to fire him for what he did, the next officer will get terminated for blown out of proportion "offenses" just to satisfy them. You can bet on it.

SPPD Admin was p!ssed B-cause over all these years they never could figure out who Picasso was. Word is that even some elite members giggled over what what had been posted.

I handed myself over to them, on a silver plater 3 days before I left.

Did JR Thompson et al.... , review all the postings prior to and afterwards the pics where posted? How come they weren't more specific about offending pictures? Jr doesn't know what the race card means or what it might even look like.

And in a final act of incompetence; The Review Memo states that SPPD Admin intends to seek to remove my certification! Excuse me guys/gals ~ but ~ Does Retirement mean anything to you ? I call it scare tactics to keep you all in line with the program.
