What has taken so long? We need someone who has some concern for LPD. Our guys seem to be working hard, but we have no visible support from Tampa. However, we constantly read what the PBA is doing and has done for TPD. We are ready to fight, to vote, to picket...to do anything but continue to sit here and wait.

I don't think the problem here is a result of Durken. The problem here is that we need a person in charge of the chapter who is familiar with the secret handshake, good ole boy politics that goes on in this city. We need someone who will call our administration and city leaders out on the carpet. Someone who will get some media exposure of the bullshit we put up with. Someone who will find the media outlets who are not in the administration's back pocket, like The Ledger and Channel 8 are. Be done with the contract already and start dealing with issues that effect us on a daily basis and are shaping the future, or falter, of this sinking ship.
