Read the minutes of the last meeting? The Chief has no idea of the high turnover rate lately! HUMMMM.... now they want to incorporate a polygraph when new recruits are hired! What a joke. Everyone knew of the five that haveleft and are leaving, and the numerous others to follow.

Of course, because what's the first step in sloving any problem????? ADMITTING YOU HAVE ONE!!!! The motto of the TIAPD command staff is.."We thought we were wrong once, but we were mistaken". Several people who have left or have made it known they were thinking about leaving have been "confronted" by the Chief. I think this is more a case of not giving a *hit than not knowing. The attitude here seem to be rather than confronting the issue we will just confront the individual. Meaning, if you want to leave this fine department then you have the problem and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Oh, and on your way out the revolving door, send in the next body.

The command staff here micro manages more than any other place I've seen.

Most of the officers here have tried and tried again to bring the problems to the attention of the command staff. Either the staff attempts to rip their head off or gives them a nod and thank you but never does anything with it.

They can't complain that we never brought it to their attention. Look at last bid, you had people bidding from one day squad to the other and one night to the other, all but a select few were because of the supervisors they had.
