I am not from the SW. You must be one of the biggest idiots working at the Mall. You read the posts on here and FWC. The bills are in the legislature, until all of the bills are passed and signed, no one can state what will happen. Many of the bills necessary for a merger haven't even been written yet, there are a lot of details involved. If someone says you are getting a $30,000 raise, are you going to go out and buy a new car? Here, I'll tell you that now. Go buy your new car. While you are at it, I'll tell you that you don't have to change your personal routine. You can continue to be the sorry, lazy individual who thinks everyone owes you something since you made that hard effort your first year here and wrote 2 citations and didn't get promoted to lieutenant. Instead of hiding in a remote part of a park sleeping in the back seat of your car like the good for nothing person you are, you can sleep in the woods and claim to the lieutenant that you were following up on a report of an illegal deer stand. IF you make with the rest of us to FWC, I hope they quickly see the individual you are and assign you to commercial fish counts
You'd better check the legislative website. The house and senate bills are written and filed.
    Re-read FWC Colonel Brown's memo:

    Colonel Column
    February 1, 2012
I wanted to provide an update on the progress of the bills that
address consolidation – Senate Bill 1782 and House Bill 1383.
SB 1782 was heard by the Environmental Preservation and
Conservation Committee on January 30 and passed
    unanimously.
HB 1383 was heard January 31 in the Agriculture & Natural
Resources Subcommittee and passed unanimously as well.
There are still several steps for these bills to go through. The
House Bill has two other committees of reference – the
    Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations
Subcommittee and the State Affairs Committee. The Senate
Bill also has two other committees of reference – the
Agriculture Committee and the Budget Committee.
Once they finish going through the committee process they
will be scheduled to be heard on the floor in their respective
    houses.
One of the bills will be selected as the final product and will
be subject to amendments and debate on the floor of both
houses. Once the language is agreed upon and voted out by
both the Senate and House of Representatives, the bill will be
sent to the Governor for signature. As you can see there are
many steps in the process and we will continue to work on the
    bill as it moves forward.
We also continue working closely with leadership at DEP and
DACS and will keep you updated as things progress. If you
have any questions, please ask your supervisor.
    Colonel Jim Brown
There are still a number of steps, committees to go through, amendments to add or remove. It isn't near finished and there are a number of issues that have to be ironed out.

The FWC/DEP merger bill has already passed unanimously in the House (one down), and has so far cleared every committee in the Senate also unanimously (one to go). Nothing is written in stone, but if there was betting open on this vote the odds would be so low no one would make any money; its practically a done deal. Hope you get your parity pay like the FHP CVE Troopers just did; the House and Senate both agreed to give it to them this July. :cop:
