Speeding, red light running, tailgating, aggressive driving, not hard to guess what road this is in Marion County, SR 200.
I have lived here four yeas I can count on one hand when I have seen active traffic enforcement on 200. All the Sheriff has to do is put one traffic unit on the road during the day and start showing the colors and writing traffic infractions. Soon the word will get around and people will start driving in a more civilized manner.
I saw one Deputy sitting on a quiet country road off 200 monitoring a small 4 way stop? Not enough traffic to make it worth while, when he/she could be on 200 popping violators all day long.
Maybe a show of force will lessen the traffic crashes on 200. OH! I forgot, the Sheriff does not send a deputy to crashes in the county, you have to call the Highway Patrol. If it's a non injury crash plan on waiting over one hour for a Trooper.
