Airport transfers???

Rumor has it approximately 20 deputies and several Sergeants have submitted transfer requests in the past several months. What’s going on there?

I wouldn’t EVER work at the airport again. I don’t blame them fir wanting to leave if it’s true. There’s OT all over the county. Command is more worried about where people park.

The problem is civilians are running the airport and there is not strong leadership currently there to push back against the stupidity. It’s an animal house environment in terminal 4 with near daily brawls. Bad leadership. But it least it’s not pompano. That’s the new fail model for bso. Not surprised people are leaving though. Don’t go there it’s a dump.

Look at the last transfers within a year. They included sergeants also. You have a dumb azz command captain and xo. Horrible supervisors, zero leadership skills. Every since Lidcott and Furman left it’s been a continuing failure. Don’t blame the airlines or the disturbances, that’s BSO job is to take care of business. The same if you were in a district. True event folks, during 9-11 the command staff wanted all outside districts to park their vehicles close to the curb, and airport BSO vehicles on the outside so that people wouldn’t see all the other districts cars park( hide city names) all others park in the garage. This is the results of idiots promoting idiots and transferring them in command positions. BSO have some of the dumbest, retarded, sloppy uniforms, unprofessional supervisors in law enforcement history. I never believe Barney (Mayberry RFD) Roscoe (Duke of Hazard) would be better than BSO

They don’t care I’ve worked the Airport like other Supervisors. They just want calls answered & want to do the bare minimum. They dump in in Sgts-Then it trickles down-Sgts don’t care either. Deputies are on their own. Don’t expect the Undersheriff to help either.

Captain Elwood aka Deadwood and the worst dress XO got to be the dumb and dumber of BSO. Never leave the office during the day. Never visit and talk to the night shift deputies. Some haven’t seen them all year. Never communicate with the deputies except to discipline or complain about parking etc. Spirit airlines wanted to hire and pay for more deputies and they refused. Said it was too many. They created a Compliance position for a sergeant to spy on deputies. Instead of using that sergeant when they are short. They pay overtime for another Sgt. to work. Now we have this new garbage female Sgt. from North Lauderdale who only communicate by paper with deputies. Just got there. But knows everything about the airport both state and federal procedures having never ever work there. Refuses to listen to the veteran deputies because her ego want allow it.
