The bottom line is that Acevedo knew for months that he was being paid for time he had never taken off the books and he was fine with it, so he shouldn't be blaming his secretary now that he got caught. If that is true there would be records. Time off sometimes has human errors especially when done during the daily operations. But usually a text message or email exist to backup the request if it is questioned.
