Miramar leaves the PBA too
Today, the men and women of the Miramar PD voted the “new PBA” out as their collective bargaining unit. For those of you who still think the PBA is a viable union, maybe this should be a wake up call. Hollywood and Pines are next up to leave since they are unhappy too.
There is no such thing as the “new” PBA. It’s the same old crappy people who refuse to change and try to sign people up based on lies. Imagine that, your first interaction with a union who says they can protect you is actually a lie.

If, and I stress “IF” the PBA had 100% membership rates at the few departments left, they are in trouble.
Hollywood 300
Creek 100
Pines 125
LHP 30
Total of 555 at best and you know they are not running at 100% membership.
That means they are collecting 300k a year at a membership of 555. Real numbers are probably 425. Do you really think they have the money to defend you if something happens?

And........
And what has IUPA done for the members lately? We haven't heard a peep from them since Bell was put in timeout. Not one update on the contract, not a peep about the members sitting home not getting paid etc etc. Just for the record this is not Bob nipplepants, or Megean.....just a concerned dues paying member
