Someone needs to ask the question, just Why is the NPPD involved in the current nationally televised missing female search., She is not missing from NP. In fact she voluntarily left NP months ago to go on her trip, she, for some unkown reason at this time, has not returned. I understand why NPPD took the initial report and then notified the FBI, which then began an investigation. NPPD jurisdictional boundaries end at the city line, by statute., Since this has become a multi state investigation and crosses state lines the FBI has more expertise at this. Remember, at this time there is no reported crime, just speculation. Yesterday the PIO JT for NPPD reported that the BF was a person of interest, a bit premature and certainly not within NPPD jurisdiction to announce this, since in fact it is a FBI investigation. BF clammed up and retained a lawyer. NPPD towed the missing womens car from BF house and processed it as a crime scene, again based upon what !
Again its an FBI case and lets face it NPPD evidence Techs do not have a stellar track record. Todays new conference, well Chief TG, you kind of screwed up announceing first toook report 9/11/01. ok maybe an error, but your reading off the notes and well kind of made old chief KV look intelligent and articulite , sorry but you are no front man. You stated your detectives are working around the clock, doing what??? It's not there case, its the FBI's, Besides your detective bureau has major internal problems and well really are not the cream of the crop per se. You tried to pass this as a joint investigation. maybe, but only to the city line. We all want the safe return of this young lady, if a crime has been committed, we all want justice. The FBI keeps there mouths shut for a reason !!! Its called an investigation, multi state involving multi jurisdictions. NPPD actions thus far have comprimised this case, alerted the BF as a suspect, he lawyered up, processed the missing persons van and injected themselves in an invesigation they have zero jurisdictioon in. If this goes south, all fingers will point at NPPD. There seems to be also some indication of involvement in a double homicide, NPPD a word of advise, uninject yourselves, let the real professionals handle this, keep ur mouths shut and let the FBI handle the press. This has the potential to blow up big time and if it goes south, the blow back will be on NPPD

There is a full court press to find this lady, there very well could be foul play involved, I certainly hope she is safe, no one but the BF knows, but on the other end of the spectrum, they were filming a documentary for you tube, this disappearance has captured national attention, whats to say she is not sitting this out somewhere, to reappear at a later date would certainly make for a lifetime movie etc. This is the FBI's thing let them do there job, have not heard mention of FDLE involvement, it would seem NPPD would involve them since they are the states lead investigative agency. If she reappears there is no crime they committed. There are numerous scenarios here, this needs to play out, NPPD turn your findings over to FDLE and the FBI and let them handle this, it's what they do !!!!!

Why didnt the NPPD turn this over to the FDLE, after all they are the state agency who handles these types of investigations and certainly has many more resources than the NPPD. We also must consider, before we go off and march on the house or a lynching party per se this might all be a rouse. The couple left together to film a documentary for you tube. We have all seen the footage. We seen the police footage, Moabe PD did it by the book. Then the BF returns home, alone. All the local press and national attn. What about the families reluctance to speak ?? Yet they still stay in their home with the news parked outside.[ Now, just say and we all hope, the f/m is hold up in a hotel somewhere and reappears at a later date wouldnt this make a great you tube story or lifetime movie !!!! No charges can be filed, no crime was committed. We all want a favorable ending to this situation. We tend to want to believe the worst, unfortunately sometimes that occurs, but sometimes it is just something else all together, we need to keep an open mind here. NPPD turn this case over to FDLE, as they say, its above your pay grade The FDLE has much more expertise and experience in these matters and work well with the FBI. We need to let the investigation play out and hope for the best

in case you have not noticed, the lack of a professional appearance by the NPPD has been going on for over a year now and to refer to your point the references made to the homeless look were days before the search began, no excuses except for poor management. Absolutely agree, searching in the mud etc gets one dirty, but change up the uniform the next day !!!!!!!
