    Sig 8 crossing guards

Why do so many crossing guards quit? All at the same time?

Better yet, why is there no back up plan other than the usual, dump it on patrol?

It ain't rocket science. Most are old folks who think it would be a great patt time gig, til it aint.

Because someone has to fill in, sorry azz! You'd be the first to biitch if there wasn't a guard at your crotch goblins school!

    Safety Patrol

Back in the good old days when kids had some sense and knew how to follow rules the Safety Patrol kids manned the school crossings.

If society wants crossing guards for schools, they should be staffed by either the school that needs them or through Hillsborough County School Security so that the staffing does not effect HCSO Patrol. Let the HC School Board or HC School Security manage the employees. Either way, appropriate funds need to be allocated for staffing. Sacrificing 2 hours at the beginning of the day and having to return in the afternoon for dismissal places a huge imposition on ones life. Expecting a dependable and responsible person task with protecting children’s to make such a commitment without adequate compensation is ridiculous and causes a high turnover rate. I am unsure what the current rate of pay is but driving to and from the school twice a day, standing in the rain and blaring sun, with the responsibility of protecting the children while tolerating the disrespect of aggravated motorist is a lot to expect. Can anyone share the schedule and current rate of pay for others that might consider the employment?

Maybe it's a good thing. Have you ever watched some of these crossing guards in action? Geez!

Gaslighting. I smell admin all over you and you bully tactics.

First off, crossing guards have always come and gone, but never like this. They been quitting in masses like our deputies.

Second, this POS agency is notorious for never having a back up plan for anything other than send a deputy. Where are the back up crossing guards, reserve deputies, CRD’s, SRO’s, and so on? Lots of deputies sitting in offices while almost entire patrol squads are x6 on crosswalks.

Quit trying to sound smart. You’re making a fool out of yourself again. You’re just repeating the garbage talking points Captain Crater Face keeps yapping about. He’s famous for trying to sound smart so you might not want to copy him, stupid.

I have never met Captain Crater Face. Obviously, your had a lot toe say about nothing and don’t have the pay rate I was curious about. Your reply was senseless and there lies the problem. Too many complain without making an attempt to analyze and correct the problems.
