It is amazing how since the the 4th floor and cronies have been MIA at work that patrol on the street has been better, crime has been less. Not having some 43 calling off unnecessary crap from the camera room. The unnecessary emails have been low. Let's keep it this way.

Sergeants Ran the Department
Our Sergeants ran the Department in old days. Micromanagement has destroyed our incentive to be proactive. Our Chief and his staff should stop playing patrolman.

Yes. In the old days the sergeants ran the city. But they didn't have to deal with rookie officers that acted like 20 year veterans. You were a rookie for 5 years. And actually had to prove yourself before anyone would even acknowledge you.

There are still a few old school sergeants that don’t micromanage their guys and take care of them the best they can. The reason most of theses sergeants micromanage and break balls is because some of you don’t take care of them. If you just do the little things and stay off any lists And not be that officer that always has an issue or always needs something they will let you do your job.

Still happens. Some are actually married to 33s they messed with while on duty. What a wonderful world.
