I’ve been here 24 years, and have never seen such piss poor supervisors. Benjamin was handed the position by default, and tarnished a department with a good record. The nepotism is worst it has ever been as Benjamin only hooks up friends, family and those that bring food to her fat ass. Don’t even think about getting a promotion if you’re white. Tony is an inexperienced cop and a con man and hasn’t a clue to how a detention system is run. Benjamin bullsh!ts his dumb ass in between meals and she has many meals during the day. Benjamin and her crew of idiots will continue to embarrass the agency until they finally piss off Tony and get bounced. No drop for me I’m out as soon as possible. If you have under 5 years in get out, unless of course you bring a meal to big Benjamin everyday, then you’re golden.

    Command

We have been let down by Command over the last several years. Our new Command are missing in action. Benjamin is no where to be found. Mandatory overtime is out of control. Morale is at an all time low. Promotion process for Sergeants and Lieutenants are still unfair. Command promotes who they want based on favoritism. Wake up Sheriff, DOD needs a complete over haul.

Yeah totally agree. We are in bad shape. Re -organize and let all the Majors and above go. Change that wall of shame at all the jails.

It's no different on the road. Plenty of shame to go around.

its been going on for a long time. perhaps you remember alpha shift deputies, who would routinely slide out for 1 1/2-2 hours and visit a friend. or the same shift where deputies would catch up on their sleep.every shift/era has its own pluses and minuses.theres nothing new except whats been forgotten

The overweight Colonel just keeps getting bigger while hitting the food trucks and implementing bad policies. Stealing the Ideas of those she promoted through cronyism. Unfortunately all those she promoted are incompetent and the department is rapidly going down the toilet. But even the clueless 5 star Sheriff is starting to see through the bullsh!t the fat slob of Colonel is feeding him. The jail was once a well oiled machine that didn’t cause embarrassment for agency. But under Benjamin’s incompetent leadership and that bald headed clown of a Major on the North end the agency is in the news every day. You would think the 5 star Sheriff would act and remove these cancers, but instead he goes on the news and displays hostility towards the media. Here’s a tip 5 star, remove Benjamin and Acosta, replace the command staff with professionals and the jails will stay out of the news.

This is not new. For the 30 yrs I was with DOD it was run by incompetence.
