That is sad. TPD is still above 2.5/1000. But in all honesty, Sheriff Chronister inherited this problem and is making attempts to correct it. I think today’s society is and has hampered the progress.

Comparisons should be made with other large metropolitan counties, not small rural counties without larger geographical boundaries and UCR figures.

1.23 is a joke!!!!
1.23 IS A JOKE!
We are on the low side of the state when compared to all the others. The other counties are more back woods and rural than anything.
Look at the big bad HCSO! With all that big bad talk about being the best of the best of the best in the nation! With that fat 480 million dollar budget. A budget that goes to new buildings and toys while we struggle on the street! This agency does not compare to a real police agency.
Those were 2018 numbers. That may as well be 10 years ago. How many here can name at least one large new department store, new grocery store, at least two new sub divisions, and at least two new apartment complexes in their zones alone since 2018. Plus it’s plain as day that we are shorter now.
This is a total scam! At any given time, there are only about 50 deputies during peak hours taking calls county wide. Listening to the radio X8 for dispatch.
All those other fukcs included in the citizen to officer ratio show up after the fact! After the shiiiit hit the fan. Once it’s all been stabilized. Once the REAL few first responders show up and suck up all the danger and emotional trauma.
FUKC YOU ALL!
