    Uh oh

When you are in the private sector, you have to be careful how you talk to women and minorities. So much for your time in the real world.

Those kinds of publicized political stunts are not a good fit with First Step of Sarasota and unfortunately, the non-profit board learned the hard way. Seeing and experiencing is believing.
Many of us were horrified when former sheriff Tom Knight publicly supported violent Marxist BLM extremists because Antifa violence was concurrently being televised nationwide. Knight’s public announcement that American law enforcement is “systemically racists” is equally partisan. We are not surprised that Knight quickly left employment in law enforcement shortly after his televised publicity stunts with BLM, nor are we surprised that Knight only lasted a few months working for a non-profit organization. Your CRT mileage may vary.

Knight chose the wrong side when he chose to openly support BLM. The truth will eventually come out on top. It'll eventually come to light. The conflict that the United States is in is between supporters of socialist-Marxism versus supporters of Constitutional freedom-liberty.

This is not meant to be an insulting question, but do you think:
    • Tom Knight supported BLM because he supports socialism?
    • Or did Knight choose BLM because (a) he doesn’t understand that it’s a violent Marxist funded organization and (b) he joined BLM for political gain?
Either way, Knight chose the wrong political horse when said that American law enforcement is systemically racist. Are there American racists? Sure. Is the United States systemically racists? Yes, according to Knight it is.

What does Knight mean when he says that racism is "systemic" in Florida law enforcement?

Ass kissing Knight to his face is completely different than privately supporting Knight. Apples and oranges. If you think Jernigan discretely supported Knight, then your relationship with him is superficial.

It means a couple of different things at two different levels:

    STREET LEVEL
Former sheriff Tom Knight’s inference is that deputies or officers are racially profiling citizens – and are then arresting them, based on the color of their skin, instead of making arrests based solely on criminal evidence. These alleged “racists arrests” are allegedly “systemic,” which means they are culturally encouraged by white people in the criminal justice system.

    HUMAN RESOURCE LEVEL
Knight’s inference is that deputies or officers are hired and/or promoted, based on the color of their skin. These kinds of racists hirings and promotions are allegedly “systemic,” which means they are culturally encouraged by white people in the criminal justice system.

Tom Knight does not represent the vast majority of honest, law abiding, hard working officers throughout the United States. However, he is entitled to his opinions, even if he is wrong.

His opinions are incendiary and are not backed up with evidence.

It wasn’t hard work that got him promoted in my humble opinion. It was the pure amount of long tounging knight’s starfish
